Company Overview
A little back story on Raytech
Realizing there was a need for the manufacturing of plastic components in the area, Barry Reyenga and his mother, Carol Reyenga, started Raytech in November 1995. Not knowing if their new venture would take off, they started the company in a small 5,000 sq ft building in Shreveport, Louisiana. With no previous experience in injection molding, Barry knew he had a vertical learning curve. However, with his engineering and technical background, along with his previous experience in sales, and his mother’s mechanical and accounting background, they bought their first injection molding machine and were determined to win. Barry was able to learn injection molding in a way that is now second nature for him. While Barry’s mother Carol oversaw the financial aspects of the business, Barry focused on acquiring new customers and learning the ins and out of injection molding. With one new customer on board, and no employees, Barry slept on a cot in front of his first injection molding machine, running it for hours on end to ensure his customers’ demands were met. By August of 1996, Raytech had grown in business exponentially and moved to their current location in Bosser City, Louisiana. Carol retired in 2013, and Barry took full ownership of Raytech Industries, and it remains family owned today. And that first customer, Sound Fighter Systems, who gave Barry and his mother a chance in 1995 is still a customer today, 30 years later.
